The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) Namibia is a charitable organisation that aims to protect and prevent cruelty to animals. We were established in 1949 and are one of the first officially registered Welfare Organizations (WO6) registered with the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MOHSS) in Namibia. The SPCA plays a pivotal role in rescuing and assisting animals that are maltreated, abandoned, and abused all over Namibia.

The SPCA Namibia's headquarters are based in Windhoek, and SPCA Windhoek runs the shelter operations. We currently have an additional seven branches around the country in Grootfontein, Keetmanshoop, Luderitz, Oshana, Otjiwarongo, Tsumeb, and Walvis Bay.

The SPCA is funded largely by public donations. We dedicate our time to care for and assist animals in need through education, action, and provision of care. We provide a safe haven and medical care to animals in need. Our different SPCA's can house anything from 20 to 400 animals of various species at any one time; all of whom come to us via a variety of circumstances.

Our primary goal is the prevention of cruelty and neglect to animals; our passion is finding our animals the loving home they deserve.

SPCA Namibia and our Branches are guided by our Vision, Mission, and Values.
